Patrick was raised in Hitchin, Hertfordshire before studying Music and Mathematics at the University of Birmingham, specialising in Composition and Orchestration.

Patrick's Musical Director credits include Blood Brothers (UK Tour), Normality (The Other Palace), Pet Shop Boys’ Closer to Heaven (Union Theatre) and Die Fledermaus (Opera Up Close) amongst many other shows in London, Edinburgh Fringe and around the UK.

 

He has worked with actors Dove Cameron, Frances Barber and James Cosmo whilst recording and filming for Trisha Ward's TV series, Two Wolves, as well as a whole host of other talented performers. Patrick is pianist for comedian Marcel Lucont (as seen on Comedy Central, Live at the Apollo), performing all over the UK including Henley and Latitude Festivals.

As a composer Patrick frequently collaborates with Librettist/Director Helen Eastman, often on shows for young audiences including: The Nutcracker (Reading Rep), The Greater Game (Elgar Room, Royal Albert Hall) and Alby: The Penguin Who Saved Christmas (Oxford Playhouse). As Sound Designer/Composer, Patrick has recently worked on The Alchemist (site-specific company Creation Theatre) and Cassandra (Omnibus Theatre/UK Tour).

Patrick has also written and produced his own musical comedy shows; January: The Musical Revue (Crazy Coqs) and Ed Fringe: The Musical Revue (Edinburgh Fringe) to critical acclaim and is currently workshopping projects with collaborators Paul Aitchison and Dianne Roberts,

Patrick is a passionate workshop leader and musical animateur. He has run sessions at mainstream and SEN schools, drama schools, offices, residential care homes and in prisons, through fantastic companies including: Armonico Consort, Ark Music, Jackdaws, Liberty Choir and Turtle Key Arts. These outreach programmes have led to Patrick composing original music, arranging and performing in concerts at Symphony Hall Birmingham, The Barbican Centre and the Royal Albert Hall, as well as many local community events.

Patrick is currently an associate Musical Director at Guildford School of Acting and visiting tutor on the University of Winchester Musical Theatre course.
