Patrick is passionate improvised comedy and become an accomplished improviser accompanying comedy groups and shows with live improvised music. He has played with various groups including Monkey Toast, Grand Theft Improv, Seance Fiction, Notflix, Panther Cannon and many of the artists from the Olivier Award-winning Showstoppers.​​

Patrick has also been invited to underscore school shows with appropriate improvised music using his keyboard (which can be programmed to sound far more impressive than just a piano!).
